Within the framework of the Ayacucho Plan and with the purpose of strengthening prevention operations in the territories, the Casanare Air Group, GACAS, through the Comprehensive operation Section and the Base Security and Defense Squadron, carried out an awareness-raising activity in the La Esmeralda neighborhood, in Yopal. This activity focused on alerting people about the risks of forced recruitment of minors and promoting safer environments for children in the region.
During the activity, the military personnel carried out the hand-to-hand distribution of informative brochures with preventive messages and contact lines aimed at reporting any suspicious situation that may put the integrity of children and adolescents at risk. These brochures seek to guide citizens on how to act in the face of events that violate the fundamental rights of minors or hit the tranquility of the sector.
The inhabitants of the La Esmeralda neighborhood welcomed the institutional activity, expressing their support for such initiatives that strengthen trust and facilitate cooperation between the people and the Colombian Aerospace Force. During the activity, the citizens highlighted the importance of maintaining active communication channels to prevent crimes and protect the most vulnerable inhabitants.
Through these operations, the GACAS reaffirms its commitment to work in coordination with the people to safeguard the safety and well-being of Casanare families. Through awareness-raising campaigns and the implementation of activities contemplated in the Ayacucho Plan, the Colombian Aerospace Force continues to consolidate itself as a close, protective institution that works for the defense of human rights in the Orinoquia region.
