These remotely manned aircraft are characterized by their great autonomy capacity and night vision cameras.

To date, more than 330 vehicles and approximately 7,200 tons of cargo have been transported along the Production Chain Route.

With the use of aircraft remotely manned type ScanEagle, equipped with cutting-edge technology for surveillance and control of the territory, the Navy of Colombia carried out patrols, aerial constants on the main route logistics of the southwest of the country, where it carries the Route of supply Chain, a caravan of trucks that enter and depart daily of the Port city.

In addition to controlling the airspace, more than 1,000 members of the Military Forces of the Colombian Navy, the National Army, and the National Police, are on the route and are responsible for guarding the roads used by the caravan. In the same way, in the city of Buenaventura, approximately 1,700 men and women of the Military and Police Forces control urban spaces and critical points such as port terminals, access roads, commercial, banking and business areas, public facilities, Hidropacifico and airport. In addition, three Coast Guard URR-type units, two Pilot-type boats, a Maritime Patrol-type Surface Unit and three Navy Infantry boats have been arranged to monitor the maritime and river spaces of the Bay of Buenaventura.

This work of the Security Forces in the Port City and its access roads is framed in the presidential order of military assistance whose function is to develop a coordinated effort with the National Police for the protection of the rights of all Colombians, assistance that is being carried in the frame of the protection of human rights and the development of legitimate actions that allow to preserve the constitutional order and the life, honor and property of all citizens.

Thanks to the use of this mechanism have been prevented various acts of vandalism on the main route logistics of the southwest of the country, such as attacks by criminals with blunt objects, improvised explosive devices and explosive and corrosive chemicals against vehicles and drivers that make up the caravan; these attacks have been thwarted by troops protecting the people and their property.
