Soldiers of Colombian National Army's Engineer Brigade for Disaster Care and Prevention carry out monitoring, evacuation and distribution of humanitarian aid in the Guita village of the municipality of Socotá, Boyacá, due to the emergency caused by landslides.
The rescuers, in a coordinated work with the Government of Boyacá and the municipal administration, carry out tasks of mapping and sectorization of critical points, geological faults and review of any anomaly that occurs; in the same way, monitoring is carried out with drones which takes georeferencing of the area and thus facilitate ground work.
At the same time, the soldiers have supported in the evacuation of the disturbed families and in the distribution of humanitarian aid to them.
Water drainage systems have been installed planted on the site, thus seeking to mitigate the risk.
Through the differential resources, Colombian National Army is constant in its commitment to protect the lives of the inhabitants and provide support in a timely manner in situations that may arise throughout the national territory.
