The team made of two officers, two soldiers and two dogs, rescued a pet alive and recovered the body of a deceased person.

The team of rescuers of the Colombian Military Forces, sent to T眉rkiye at the beginning of the week to support the humanitarian rescue efforts after the earthquake that struck that country, continue to conduct their titanic operation among the debris.

The members of the Military Forces rescued a cat, who would have survived the natural phenomenon and the fall of the building where he lived with its owners. The cat survived among the layers of concrete for more than 260 hours. The effort of the Colombians, who work hand in hand with rescuers of the Netherlands and local volunteers, obtained results shortly after starting their work. In the same way they recovered the lifeless body of a person.

Thanks to the skill, training and preparation of the rescuers belonging to the National Army Engineers Command, they divided into two teams with the aim of covering a larger area.

The delegation of the Colombian Military Forces made of Captain Juan Carlos Torres Jim茅nez, Captain Adriana Milena Boh贸rquez Beltr谩n (veterinary doctor), the soldiers Jaime Ortega Ram铆rez and Severino R铆os Cartagena, as well as the dogs Shaina and Ulises, will continue today on their third day of work, aware of the great task they are conducting in T眉rkiye.

The search and rescue tasks today will be under the accompaniment of the AFAD, which is the national Emergency and Disaster Management authority of the Ministry of Interior of T眉rkiye.
