A group of people marched to the toll booth that connects this municipality with the capital city of Santander to thank the soldiers and police officers who have provided security in the sector.
A group of citizens of the municipality of Lebrija, Santander, approached the morning of this Friday, May 07, towards the toll that connects them with the city of Bucaramanga. Raising the flags of Colombia and Santander, the inhabitants of the capital city of pineapple producer department paid a tribute of gratitude to the soldiers of the National Army and the National Police that during these days, guarantee security in the sector.
The anthem of Colombia and Santander were sung with pride and total recognition of the operation that the Military Forces have been carrying out, especially in these days where the accompaniment of the authorities has been required for the tranquility of the inhabitants.
Citizens gave a message of support for their operation and asked not to falter in these difficult times, where they most need their support as institution.
The soldiers of the engineering battalion of the Fifth Brigade do permanent work in this and other strategic assets of the region and on this occasion, they thanked this gesture of the community that, without a doubt, motivates them to continue doing their best in the fulfillment of the mission.
