The liberation of a woman, in Putumayo, and 40 captures for extortion and kidnapping, among other crimes, are some of the results of the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group).

On January 21, in the municipality of Puerto Leguizamo, in Putumayo, troops of the Putumayo Military Gaula, through the collection of information and intelligence, found Mrs. Mayerly Rojas Gaitan, 24, who had been disappeared by common criminality groups.

The complaint for the forced disappearance was made by the victim's family on January 10, who notified the Gaula units to begin the follow-up and investigation process.

According to the victim's account, she was exposed for more than 10 days to physical and psychological abuse, but thanks to the work and decisiveness of this special group, today she is next to her children and loved ones.

Another of the operations to highlight was carried out by the Antioquia military Gaula group, who in coordination with CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Attorney General's Office capture two individuals belonging to organized crime groups, GDO, who through intimidation and threats to a trader demanded $150.000.0000 pesos. This capture achieves a significant impact on the finances of criminal armed groups and leaves off the streets criminals who put the security of the region at risk.

40 arrests were reported, 18 were for the crime of extortion, 2 for kidnapping, and 18 more for association to commit crimes and other crimes.

In the same way, within the tactical missions carried out by the military Gaula, weapons, ammunition and electronic equipment used by organized armed groups for their criminal activity were seized.
