400 people benefited of the return to their homes, thanks to the operations of the Military Forces and various institutions.

Colombian National Army continues to provide humanitarian assistance to the displaced inhabitants of the municipality Vigilancia, rural area of Cúcuta, in Norte de Santander, in the border area with Venezuela. These people left their homes because of acts of violence that happened months ago.

Meetings were held immediately with different institutions, especially with the mayor's Office of Cúcuta, the governorate of Norte de Santander and the participation of social leaders of the community, with the aim of achieving the restoration of the rights and freedoms of the displaced inhabitants.

Today, in a coordinated work with the National Police, families were provided with basic supplies and a playground was built, advisory was in the same way given on issues related to the Sisben (governmental assistance), and most importantly, the Military Forces will be there permanently so that these violent events do not happen again.

Actions like these support and strengthen our democracy, where the most important thing is to preserve the lives of our inhabitants.
