Alias Machito, second ringleader of the Organized Crime Group, GDO, Gang Los Puntilleros, was arrested in rural area of Meta, after a decisive operation carried out in a coordinated manner by the Colombian Air Force and the National Police.
This significant blow against the criminal organizations that commit crimes in the Colombian east was executed in the La Libertad village of the municipality of Mapiripán, where it was in the same way possible the arrest of another individual known by the alias Guasón, right hand and person in charge of the security of alias Machito.
This ringleader reports an arrest warrant for the crimes of association to commit crimes for the purposes of extortion and homicide, issued by the Attorney General's Office, as well as an Interpol blue notice, for the crime of association to commit crimes for the purposes of drug trafficking. Additionally, he had a criminal experience of about 15 years in criminal organizations, he was a member of the self–named Anti-Communist People's Revolutionary Army of Colombia - ERPAC, committing illegal acts together with his father alias El Loco Harold, second in command of that structure in the departments of Meta and Guaviare.
These individuals were menacing merchants, ranchers, farmers and the inhabitants of Meta in general with extortion, selective homicides against those who will refuse to pay extortion fees, as well as against members of other organizations outlaw in order to maintain criminal control in their area of interference. The two individuals were put into custody of the Attorney General's Office, which ordered to place them in a prison facility.
This result contributes to the fulfillment of the conditions of well-being and tranquility, within the framework of the Humane Security policy For Life and Peace, led by the Presidency of the Republic, representing a great contribution to national security, which leads to restoring the tranquility of the inhabitants of the Los llanos orientales region.
In this way, the Air Force will continue to count on its Resources to participate in decisive operations that led to generate a significant reduction in crimes that disrupt law and order and directly combat the collection of money and extortion against citizens, thus working for the safety of the entire Colombian people.
