Troops of the National Army, in development of joint, coordinated and inter-agency military operations with the Air Force, the police and the prosecutor's Office, alias Mauricio was arrested. He allegedly would integrate the networks of support to the residual structure, RAER, and he would be the chief of Finance of the residual organized armed group, GAO-R, Ad谩n Izquierdo (now called Gao-R frente Ismael Ruiz, Grupo norte Del Tolima) and would be under the command of Ra煤l Pinto Portela, alias alex谩nder, an individual arrested in June 2020.
His criminal experience began in 2020, when a meeting was held in the municipality of Guaico. There alias Alex谩nder gave full support to Mauricio Monta帽o to be his main collaborator. Subsequently, in June it was possible to arrest alias Alex谩nder, and there it was when he used the support of the ringleader to begin carrying out extortion and threats to civilians.
Subsequently, on August 16, he made the forced collection of about 10 million pesos on behalf of his structure against people living in Ibagu茅. In November of the same year he was accused of exerting pressure on civilians, on behalf of the commander of the Central Joint Command Adan Izquierdo. In January of this year, he carried out the formation of a support network for the residual structure to commit crimes on the sectors El Machin and surrounding hamlets. In February 2021, he would have extorted money which generates the forced displacement of the inhabitants of El Guaico, in Ibagu茅.
With this important result it was possible to find three cell phones, which will be part of the investigation to know which people in the region were being exactly pressed and threatened by this individual.
Alias Mauricio was put into custody of the authority for the crime of association to commit aggravated crimes.
