The troops were conducting a checkpoint on roads in the municipality of Agrado, Huila.
The continuous presence of the soldiers of the Pigoanza Battalion, the Ninth Brigade and the Light Cavalry Group N.6, at different points on the roads, has led to the continuous neutralization of drug trafficking plans that intend to use routes to illegally transport narcotics. The most recent operation led to the finding of 20 kilos of marijuana and a motorcycle.
With the support of the Judicial Police of Huila, in the municipality of Agrado, on the road that contacts with the village Garzón, a man, upon noticing the activity of the soldiers of Colombian National Army, abandoned the motorcycle on which he was traveling and fled, so the soldiers, upon seeing the suspicious attitude of the individual, checked a bag that was tied to the motorcycle, and there they found 44 packages of marijuana.
The motorcycle and the 44 packages of marijuana were put into custody of the authorities for the prosecution process.
This result demonstrates the strength of the troops to confront drug trafficking, neutralizing illicit activities and safeguarding public health and safety in the department.
