In the rural area of Buenaventura, war material and narcotics of the residual GAO Jaime Martínez were found by troops

En zona rural de Buenaventura, incautado material de guerra y estupefacientes del GAO residual ‘Jaime Martínez’

The Colombian Navy, through the Navy Infantry Brigade No.2, seized war materiel and narcotic substances in the village of Bello Horizonte, Special District of Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca.

Units of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.24 who were carrying out security patrols in the Raposo River, noticed among the undergrowth a container that inside apparently contained illicit substances, as well as 781 5.56 mm caliber cartridges.

Subsequently, the military personnel transferred the substance and the material to the facilities of the Attorney General's Office in Buenaventura, where the Technical Staff of Criminal Investigation - CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) conducted the Approved Preliminary Identification Test – PIPH, which left positive result for three kilograms of marijuana.

The ammunition and the drugs found, which are presumed to belong to the Residual Organized Armed Group Jaime Martínez, were put into custody of the Prosecutor's Office of Buenaventura.
