The office of the Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, in coordination with the Colombian Agricultural Institute (ICA) and the MADR-FAO agreement, and the Colombian Aerospace Force, the second workshop of the 2025 validity called the Agroclimatic Territorial Table for San Andr茅s Islas was held.
The main objective of the workshop was to train the producers of the land and people in general on the organization of their farms based on climate predictions. During the event, the importance of understanding the relationship between the climate, the territory and the agricultural system was highlighted, thus leading informed decisions to be made that favor food security and productive sustainability in the archipelago.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Agriculture and Fisheries, Christian Harvey, who highlighted the commitment of the Departmental Government to consolidate the Departmental Farm as a space for agricultural training and production. He in the same way highlighted that such workshops strengthen local resources and promote rural development in San Andr茅s Islas.
The Colombian Aerospace Force played a key role in the event, providing logistical support and technical assistance. Its intervention significantly contributed to the agroclimatic analysis, providing key information and strategic tools for decision-making, with the aim of benefiting the people of the San Andr茅s Archipelago.
