Crews of the Aerospace Force conducted an aircraft rescue mission in Casanare
Responding to the call of the National Personnel Recovery Center CENRP about the disappearance of the aircraft registration HK1658G Cessna 185 in the rural area of the municipality of Orocu茅, Casanare, the Air Combat Command No. 2 of the Colombian Aerospace Force reacted immediately with its crews in a search and rescue mission by two Blackhawk helicopters in Angel and Harpy configuration to provide support to the event.
Two occupants were traveling in the missing aircraft and it was covering the route La Culebra -Gaitan Center, in the department of Casanare, where the search mission was launched to find the aircraft in the area where the last signal of the emergency beacon was received.
When the place of the air accident was identified, with the support of National Army troops on the ground, the rescue work of the personnel began, where one of them had unfortunately already lost his life; during the flight the Personnel Recovery team of the Colombian Aerospace Force carried out the stabilization of the vital signs of the pilot of the Cessna185 civil aircraft.
The patient was taken to the city of Yopal, where the medical staff of the Orinoqu铆a Regional Hospital was waiting for him at the Casanare Air Group ramp to provide specialized medical assistance.
The Aerospace Force deploys, through its crews, military personnel expert in Personnel Recovery to carry out the rescue maneuvers of the occupants of the Cessna185 aircraft.
