As part of its commitment to security the Colombian Aerospace Force through Air Combat Command No. 3 will be conducting surveillance and reconnaissance overflights in the metropolitan area of Barranquilla during the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Local Development Forum, which will be held from July 8 to 11, 2025.
This international event, which is being held in Latin America for the first time, will bring together representatives of governments, the private sector and multilateral organizations under the premise “Global inspiration, local transformation”. In the same way, CACOM 3 will deploy its air resources to contribute to the preservation of law and order and support civil authorities in the protection of attendees and the forum.
The manned and unmanned aircraft that will participate in these patrols will be in constant communication with the security and territorial control institutions, in coordination with the Mayor's Office of Barranquilla and other organizations that support this high-impact regional event.
