Seedbeds soldiers are trained in the recovery of the environment by the Botanical Garden of Bogotá

14 soldiers completed the course that certifies them as seedbeds soldiers

 

In the framework of Operation Artemisa, soldiers of the thirteen Brigade of the National Army were certified by the Botanical Garden of Bogotá José Celestino Mutis.

 

At the facilities of the Botanical Garden of Bogotá, a group of 14 soldiers attached to Brigade no.13, completed the course that certifies them as seedbeds soldiers, specialists in native plants of high mountains, with emphasis on Frailejón.

 

These men, during the 2021 have been strengthened in knowledge to be the Environmental Managers of tactical units in the department of Cundinamarca, with the purpose of contributing to improve the conditions of the environment, especially all those ecosystems which were hit by the transit of the men in times of armed conflict.

 

The training activities were theoretical-practical activities designed in the course of strategies of phytosanitary management of high mountain plants and the practical course Botany as a conservation tool.
