In Segovia, a peasant who had been hit by an anti-personnel mine was evacuated

Desde Segovia, fue evacuado campesino afectado por mina antipersonal

On a UH-60 helicopter in Angel configuration of the Air Combat Command No. 5 of the Colombian Aerospace Force, the aeromedical evacuation of a 37-year-old peasant, victim of an anti-personnel mine, was carried out in a rural area of the village of Arenales, in the municipality of Segovia, Antioquia.

Given the situation, the National Personnel Recovery Center, CENRP, is coordinating the aircraft to carry out the humanitarian mission of the young man who was seriously injured in one of his arms and legs.

During the flight, the Aerospace Force medical and rescue personnel were monitoring and evaluating the patient's vital signs, until his arrival at the San Vicente de Paúl Foundation heliport in Rionegro, Antioquia, where he was given stable.

This operation is carried out jointly with Colombian National Army, who with their combat nurses stabilized the patient on the ground, to be given to the crew of the helicopter Angel.
