In operations of territorial control, conducted in rural area of villages in Las Palmas, San Ramon, Jordan, Los Guamos, Jerico and La Pradera of the municipality of Sardinata, Norte de Santander, troops of the Ground Operations Battalion N°9, attached to the Task Force Vulcano, could dismantle seven illegal structures of production of coca base paste that served the system of illegal financing of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Eln and the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, 33.
In these sectors troops found 580 gallons of coca leaf in the process of maceration, 450 kilograms of solid precursors, 500 gallons of DIESEL, 390 gallons of gasoline, 165 gallons of stolen petroleum and 41 empty barrels with capacity to store 55 gallons of liquids each.
Through these military operations troops continue to weaken the financial activities of the organized armed group GAO-Eln and GAO-R-33, as well as their criminal operations to attack civilians and Military Forces.
