Generating a high level of well-being for communities that are far of the urban centers of La Orinoquia, the inhabitants of Rubiales in Puerto Gaitan, Meta, made up mostly of indigenous communities of the Sikuani ethnic group, received a complete medical assistance services, beauty services and presents in an inter-institutional work together with the Colombian Aerospace Force.
People gathered very early at the Rubiales School to attend this activity that, for the first time, brought together several public and private institutions with the mission of providing support in the most vulnerable of the inhabitants, providing free medical assistance to about 400 people in the specialties of general medicine, pediatrics, dentistry, psychology, screening, nutrition, physiotherapy, gynecology, pharmacy and vaccination, as well as beauty services and the distribution of school kits and clothing.
"It's the first time I've seen such care in the 14 years I've been here, sometimes we don't have the possibility to go to Puerto Gaitan or Villavicencio for a medical appointment. Thank you to everyone” said Beatriz Amaya, who was benefited through this Humanitarian Medical Assistance Activity. During the activity, several priority cases were attended, such as that of a patient with a possible diagnosis of appendicitis, a man who presented an open wound due to a work accident on one of his hands and special assistance was in the same way provided in mental health, these cases were transferred to a healthcare center for assistance. Bringing well-being to these villages was possible by coordinating efforts conducted by the private company, the Meta Visible NGO Foundation, the Arturo Calle Foundation, the El Minuto de Dios Organization Corporation, the Municipal Health Secretariat of Puerto Gaitán and the Colombian Aerospace Force through the Comprehensive operation Center and the Air Combat Command No. 2.
