Six people were rescued of the Guayuriba village in Villavicencio

Seis personas fueron rescatadas

Three adults, including an elderly woman and three minors, were rescued at two village points in Villavicencio, Las Vegas de Guayuriba and Los Tubos on the right bank of the Guayuriba River, by a UH60 Blackhawk helicopter of the Air Combat Command No. 2, CACOM 2, of the Colombian Aerospace Force.

After a request made by the Mayor's Office of Villavicencio to the National Risk Management Unit, UNGRD, through the National Personnel Recovery Center, CENRP, the Angel helicopter crew proceeded to rescue these people by means of the rescue crane, since they were isolated in the sudden rising of the Guayuriba River, which has left dozens of people injured in the capital city of Meta.

The evacuated people were taken to safety at CACOM 2 or the Apiay Air Base, as it is commonly known, where ambulances arranged by the municipal Mayor's Office were waiting for them to check vital signs and that they were in stable health.

Whenever necessary, the Aerospace Force will dispose of all its technological and human resources to save the lives of Colombians who need it most, providing support and hope in emergencies such as the one presented in the Meta department due to the heavy rains of recent days.
