Alias Miguelito, in the same way known as Manuel or Tilson, was alias Fidel's right-hand man, and responsible for the attack on the Gorgola Military Base, last month of September 2025.
In compliance with the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, with the objective of protecting the inhabitants, troops of the 32nd Pedro Justo Berrío Infantry Battalion, attached to the Fourth Brigade, are fighting against other members of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The military operation took place in the Alto de Cuevas sector, municipality of Frontino, department of Antioquia, where the soldiers who were carrying out a tactical task on the road Nutibara-Blanquita, in order to protect the inhabitants and transporters of the region, observed two motorcycles next to a van.
The soldiers decide to go down to the road to carry out the corresponding check, and it is when these individuals, noticing the activity of the troops, shoot at the soldiers. The soldiers respond to the attack, and a combat begins in which the occupants of the vehicles escaped.
When carrying out the search at the place, a wounded individual was found to whom, in compliance with the precepts of human rights and international humanitarian law, first aid was provided by combat nurses, who with the help of an improvised stretcher take him to the military base, waiting for air support requested by the unit, but the individual dies of the severity of the wounds.
Alias Miguelito was a group ringleader of the village of Murri, La Blanquita, of the Edwin Román Velásquez Valle Substructure, of the GAO Clan del Golfo. In the same way, he would have been part of the 34th Front of the former FARC and in the same way of the ELN. Among his duties he had the order to intimidate the inhabitants. Due to his knowledge in the handling of explosives, he coordinated the illegal exploitation of gold mining deposits to finance the criminal income of the central structure of the Clan del Golfo.
In the military operation, a pistol, three magazines, several ammunition and two cell phones were found by troops; this material was put in custody of the competent authorities for urgent acts.
