Faithful to its vocation of service, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Air Maintenance Command, CAMAN, made the distribution of 44 prescription glasses and two wheelchairs to people with disabilities in the municipality of Sutamarchán, Boyacá.
The activity was carried out within the framework of Operation Gratitude, an initiative led by the Air Maintenance Command in coordination with the Mayor's Office of Sutamarchán and the Organization Corporation El Minuto de Dios, with the purpose of improving the quality of life of the community.
Among the beneficiaries are Mr. Lisandro Russi González, who is a 92-year-old adult, resident of the Santa Rosa de Lima Protection Center, and Miss Yeimy Karina Ortiz, a 28-year-old who suffered an amputation due to the explosion of a television set. Each one received a wheelchair that will contribute significantly to their autonomy and safe movements. In the same way, 44 glasses were distributed that will improve the visual health of all the beneficiaries.
