Within the framework of social responsibility activities that the Air Combat Command 5, CACOM 5, carries out with the community, an activity of beautification, maintenance and cleaning of the sports environment of the village La Laja of the municipality of Rionegro, Antioquia was carried out.
This campaign coordinated by the Municipal Institute of Physical Education, Sport and Recreation - IMER of Rionegro, was carried out with the support of the military personnel of CACOM 5, as well as community leaders and inhabitants of the sector and aimed to improve the conditions of this public space for sports practice.
In this way, cleaning and adaptation of the sports facilities were carried out, which led to revitalize the place for the enjoyment of children, young people and adults of the village.
"With the realization of this beautification and maintenance activity, approximately 2,000 people of the village of La Laja and its surroundings will benefit. These types of activities not only improve the conditions of the sports environment, but in the same way contribute to the integration and strengthening of the community,” said Dora Agudelo, president of the La Laja Village action Board.
