In the island of San Andrés, a community fair of local entrepreneurship was held with the support of the Colombian Aerospace Force, through the Caribbean Air Group and the Comprehensive Action Section- SEAIN, as a meeting space aimed at strengthening social integration, citizen participation and local development.
The activity was organized by the Communal Action Boards of the Elsy Bar and Tom Hooker sectors, with the support of the Association of Rural Women and Youth of the island, and it counted on the institutional accompaniment of the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, in a coordinated work with the community.
Through this initiative, the local economy was boosted by leading the visibility of community enterprises, the promotion of collective work and the dissemination of cultural expressions typical of the archipelago, strengthening the links among the attendees of the fair.
The activity benefited farmers, local entrepreneurs, rural women, mothers heads of household, young people, artisans, families of the Elsy Bar and Tom Hooker sectors, as well as residents and tourists, reaffirming through these actions the commitment of the Colombian Aerospace Force to the well-being of the inhabitants and the strengthening of community development in the island region.
