In order to strengthen international cooperation in the field of aeronautical logistics, the first International Congress of Aeronautical Logistics Chiefs of the Americas is being held, within the framework of the F-AIR Colombia 2025.
This meeting that brings together logistics representatives from nine countries - Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, the United States, Mexico, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay — aims to generate strategic alliances that strengthen technical resources in logistics, maintenance, development and materials. In the same way, it seeks to identify cooperation opportunities that led countries to improve their military operations competencies and coordinate processes to work on in the air operations framework, in compliance with the constitutional mission of the participating Air Forces.
The inauguration event counted on Major General Carlos Fernando Silva Rueda, Second Commander and Chief of Staff of the Colombian Aerospace Force. The event was highlighted as a platform to promote and optimize communication channels that contribute to regional development, based on the identification of points of interest to face common threats.
The above, with the purpose of promoting initiatives, knowing trends and establishing new partnerships that contribute to the strengthening of human talent through instruction, the exchange of experiences and the transfer of knowledge, which strengthen skills, resources and constant learning in issues related to the chain and logistics support in the aeronautical issues.
It in the same way, the event had the participation of companies that support this sector, such as the Colombian Aeronautical Industry Corporation (CIAC). Major General Andrés Guzmán Morales, President of the institution, highlighted the importance of growing from within the Air Forces with the aim of advance towards regional integration.
This academic dialogue conducted by logistics managers led to expanding knowledge in innovation, research and technology transfer, as well as strengthening logistics support. All this in order to generate trust and carries out synergies for the benefit not only of security and defense, but in the same way of the well-being of the citizens and communities of each country.
