Amazon. In Puerto Santander, a hamlet of the department of Amazonas and Araracuara, a non-municipalized area of the Department of Caquetá, the "Marfil" operation was carried out, carried out thanks to the joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work of the Military and Police Forces, as well as the Technical Corps of Research,CTI (Technical Investigations CorpsCTI (Technical Investigations Corps), of the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation.
This operation achieved the capture of three individuals and the destruction of nine naval devices (dredge type), in addition to the discovery of a revolver and four shotguns, which were allegedly used by the finance committee of the Armed Organized Residual Group Front First to carried out activities of illegal exploitation of mining deposits in the Caquetá River.
With this result, the Amazonas Air Group and the Air Combat Command No. 6 of the Colombian Air Force in jointoperation and coordinated with the other Forces reduce the environmental impact in the Caquetá River, caused by this type of criminal activities .
