With the firm commitment to bring development to the most remote territories of the country, the Colombian Aerospace Force sent a C-40 aircraft of the Military Transport Air Command, CATAM, to move 533 laptops, 15 smart screens and 16 satellite internet systems, from Bogotá to Riohacha, to be distributed to 7 schools of the Department of La Guajira.
From very early on, officials of the Ministry of National Education arrived at CATAM with the cargo, to undertake this mission that seeks to reduce the digital divide of the smallest of this department. Once the aircraft landed in this municipality, the National Government began the distribution of the technological tools to 4 institutions in upper Guajira region and 3 in lower Guajira region.
This mission, supported by the Military Air Transport Command, is part of the Ministry of National Education's project to distributed 3,770 computer equipment to schools and rural areas in 8 departments of Colombia, seeking to increase students' resources through access to and use of technologies.
In this way, the Colombian Aerospace Force, through its social responsibility policy, will continue to support this type of projects that seek to benefit the most vulnerable children in the country.
