The Colombian Air Force, through the Air Maintenance Command, participates in  joint, coordinated and Inter-institutional operations for control and surveillance on the main high-mobility roads and the different points of the municipalities of Mosquera, Madrid, Subachoque, Facatativá and Funza.

These actions are carried out within the framework of the security strategy, which increases patrolling, monitoring and intelligence to work to weaken the structures that attack the fundamental rights of Colombians and the public goods.

That is why a Bell 206 Ranger helicopter of the Air Force, conducts day and night constant overflights on access roads, urban, rural and industrial areas and the decentralized areas of the Western Savannah.

In the same way, motorized patrols and checkpoints are intensified, with the aim of providing a high perception of the work of the Military Forces and contributing to the reduction of common crime. This generates results in improving the quality of life of the inhabitants in this region of the country.
