Thanks to the humanitarian operation of the Colombian Aerospace Force, 200 Antioquia people will have drinking water

agua_potable_antioquia.jpg

With the purpose of contributing to the well-being of the inhabitants of Antioquia and supporting   the region, the Colombian Aerospace Force carried out the air transportation of a drinking water storage element, in a rural area of the municipality of San Luis; a maneuver that demonstrates the resources of the UH-60 helicopter crews of the Air Combat Command No. 5.

To execute the complex aerial operation, in which more than 600 kilograms of equipment were transported, the expertise and ability of the pilots and crew of the Black Hawk helicopter was required, who flew over the thick mountains of eastern Antioquia and overcame the topographical conditions of the area, to establish the cargo at the said point, successfully and safely fulfilling the humanitarian mission.

Thanks to the valuable support and the coordinated effort conducted by the troops of the Fourth Brigade attached to the Seventh Division of Colombian National Army, the Mayor's Office of San Luis and the people of the village of El Cruce, it was possible to fulfill this great challenge, which will bring the precious liquid to the homes of 40 peasant families, who years ago were hit by violence and displacement.
