The Army troops together with the National Police dismantled a large complex for the manufacture of these elements in the north of Cauca.
After the finding of a complex for the manufacture of rudimentary explosives used by the Dagoberto Ramos dissidents group of former FARC, in the rural area of Toribio, norte del Cauca, it has been established that the more than 800 grenades stored would be conditioned in drones used for terrorist acts throughout the department.
These investigative efforts in the same way led to establish that these types of grenades had been used by the Carlos Patiño dissidents, damaging the inhabitants of El Plateado who were in a sports center in the sector, leaving more than 10 people injured and a minor sadly deceased.
These elements consist of a tube, 4 fins on the bottom and inside they are filled with gunpowder and shrapnel; a rudimentary mechanism without any control after being launched. Three tons of explosives were found by troops at the site of the operation, with which more than 5,000 of these grenades were planned to be manufactured.
