The third ringleader and financier of the residual GAO voluntarily surrendered to Colombian National Army in Ibague

Un tercer cabecilla y financiero del GAO residual se entregó voluntariamente ante el Ejército Nacional en Ibagué

The individual committed crimes in Huila and Cauca; in addition, he was in charge of the recruitment of minors.

Thanks to the operations conducted by the soldiers of the Sixth Brigade on the sector of Rovira and rural part of Ibague, and tired of fleeing of the military operations of Colombian National Army in the departments of Cauca and Huila, this person arrived in the capital city of Tolima to voluntarily surrender to the troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) Tolima.

His surrender took place within the framework of prevention activities against extortion and kidnapping carried out by soldiers, seeking to benefit of the national Government's surrender to justice program, therefore, in order to protect his family, he provided information of interest, especially about illegal activities that he carried out.

This individual was put under the protection of the Group of Humanitarian Assistance to the Demobilized and Support to the Individual Surrender to Justice, GAHD.

Once again, the troops of the Sixth Brigade invite members of all illegal groups that commit crimes in the country to surrender to the units in the Department of Tolima and take advantage of the benefits of this program led by the Ministry of Defense.
