The threat of alias “Timonazo,” ringleader of the residual GAO “Oliver Sinisterra” was neutralized

In compliance with the Bicentenary Campaign Plan Héroes de la Libertad, the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hércules continues to conduct its operations against the structures of Organized Armed Groups that commit crimes in the Pacific Region of Nariño.

 

During military operations, by troops of the Joint Task Force for Stabilization and Consolidation Hercules, an individual belonging to the residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, Oliver Sinisterra Structure, died in decisive operations to mitigate the factors of instability.

 

Thanks to military intelligence efforts, soldiers of the Jungle Battalion No.53 find members of this structure terrorist, who later engaged an armed battle in the municipality Pianulpì District of Tumaco, department of Nariño. There, alias Timonazo, head of group of the GAO residual Structure Oliver Sinisterra, was neutralized. He had previously been part of the network of support to the terrorism of the Mobile column Daniel Aldana of the former Farc, with area of interference in the municipality of Llorente, in Tumaco, Nariño, where he made criminal intelligence to members of the security forces to beat them up using the pistol plan and he also planted improvised explosive devices.

 

In the same way, alias Timonazo was in charge of coordinating, leading and executing the criminal activities, as the collection of money by extortion of merchants, targeted killings of social leaders, the collection of war material activities aimed at drug trafficking, mass organization and control for public demonstrations against the Military Forces.

 

It is important to highlight that this individual was arrested in 2011 by the Military Forces and the National Police for the crime of manufacturing, trafficking or carrying firearms or ammunition, and he was held in Palmira prison; but he was released on December 15, 2011 due to expiration of terms, joining the ranks of the Farc-EP again.

 

At present, this individual had eight arrest warrants and was wanted by the authorities for the offence of illegal carrying of weapons, association to commit crimes, aggravated homicide, threat against human rights defenders and public servants. He was in the same way listed in Interpol notices at the international level.

 

At the scene it was in the same way possible to find a 9-millimeter pistol, cartridges and cash.

 

The material was given to the Technical Investigation Corps of the Attorney General's Office.

 

With this result, the armed component of this criminal organization, responsible for homicides, criminal acts and clashes with other structures of drug trafficking, will be hit.
