This important result is the reaction of the troops to face the facts in this area of the department.
Within the framework of military operations, framed in the Ayacucho Strategic Campaign Plan, soldiers of the Fourteenth Brigade, in coordination with the National Police, in the municipality of Segovia, Antioquia, arrested three individuals, who allegedly belonged to the Jorge Iv谩n Arboleda Garc茅s substructure, of the Organized Armed Group, GAO, Clan del Golfo.
The arrests were made thanks to the search activities, motorized patrols and background checks carried out by the troops together with the Police, in order to counteract criminal operations that hit the inhabitants.
These individuals that would belong to the focused criminal component, would be linked to the latest events that occurred in the municipality. During the military operation, firearms, ammunition, magazines, communications equipment and approximately 15 kilograms of marijuana were found by troops.
On the other hand, in the village of La Cruzada de Remedios, Antioquia, the arrest of a fourth individual was made. He had with him a firearm and ammunition; this man apparently, in the same way, belonged to the aforementioned substructure of the GAO Clan del Golfo.
The arrested and the material were put into custody of the authorities to carry out their judicial process.
Colombian National Army will continue to conduct military operations focused on works to raise the security of the Northeast of Antioquia and Magdalena Medio, coordinating efforts with the other authorities.
