With the purpose of strengthening security and promoting citizen denunciation to face events that affect the tranquility of communities, the Colombian Aerospace Force, FAC, carried out a mission to launch brochures and spread messages by aerial loudspeakers over the town Villa de San Andrés, in a rural area of the municipality of Aguachica, department of Cesar.
The operation was carried out aboard a Huey-II helicopter of the No. 1, CACOM 1, in Puerto Salgar, department of Cundinamarca, and 1,000 brochures were launched with messages aimed at supporting the Denounce Illegal Recruitment campaign, inviting citizens to report in a timely manner any suspicious activity or situation that puts at risk the integrity of the inhabitants in general, especially children, adolescents.
This type of missions are in the same way carried out frequently in different strategic sectors of the Magdalena Medio region, reaching municipalities such as Puerto Berrío, Barrancabermeja, Puerto Boyacá, La Dorada and San Pablo, as well as villages and routes of regional influence; in the same way in prioritized areas of Catatumbo, resources are used strengthening prevention acts and institutional rapprochement with the communities.
The Colombian Air Force continues to carry out Comprehensive Action operations for the benefit of the inhabitants, coordinating efforts with the authorities to strengthen the security, protection and well-being of Colombians, thus reaffirming its commitment to building safer environments in different regions of the country.
