Cauca. Through joint, coordinated and inter-institutional work conducted by the Air Combat Command No. 7 of the Colombian Air Force, the Twenty-ninth Army Brigade, the SIJIN of the National Police and the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) of the Prosecutor's Office, it was possible in the last few hours to capture one of the leaders of the Organized Armed Group of the ELN in the department of Cauca.
After operations deployed in the village El Porvenir in the municipality El Bordo, was captured alias "El Floro", fifth head of the Front "José María Becerra" of the Eln. According to military intelligence information he could have been 14 years in the criminal organization.
Aircraft such as the AC-47 Fantasma and a Black Hawk UH-60L helicopter from the CACOM-7 participated in this operation that took place in early hours, under conditions of difficult access and lack of light.
He had with him three rifles, a modified sniper rifle, a shotgun, a rifle, a revolver, 10 magazines, 337 cartridges, a night visor, a communications radio, important material for the manufacture of explosives and two cell phones.
With this operation it was possible to significantly hit these criminal structures, thanks to the union of efforts of the Military and Police Forces to dismantle the illegal organizations in the southwest of the country.
