Troops of the Joint Task Force Omega evacuate a peasant bitten by a snake in Caquetá

Troops of the Ground Operations Battalion No. 1 and the Navy Infantry riverine Battalion No. 31, attached to the Caguan Specific Command of the Omega Joint Task Force, save the life of a 49-year-old man who had been bitten by a snake in rural area of ​​Cartagena del Chairá, department of Caquetá.

 

Following the call of the farmer's family, who went to the men of the Joint Task Force Omega at the Caguán munipality, to inform that his family member had been bitten by a snake and also that he needed immediate help to be taken to a site where they could provide specialized medical assistance, troops in the sector came to evacuate the man. Despite the difficult access and after several hours by a path, the man was taken to Remolinos del Caguán and later by river to the hospital of the municipality of Cartagena del Chairá, in the department of Caquetá, where at this time he is attended by specialists.
