Thanks to the immediate reaction and pressure exerted by troops of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) – Valle, and the High Mountain Battalion No.10, of the Third Brigade, it was possible to rescue two technical experts in air conditioning.

In a military operation carried out in the municipality of Puerto Frazadas, Municipality of Tulua, it was possible to rescue Carlos Enrique Bedoya and Juan Carlos Jiménez, kidnapped last Thursday, July 16, 2020, through the modality of “false Service”, by criminal armed groups operating in the area.

The two citizens said that at the time of the abduction they were intercepted by individuals who requested their air conditioning maintenance services in the municipality of Tulua. When they reached the agreed point, they were told they were kidnapped, and so their relatives were told to pay 12 million pesos.

Immediately the kidnapping was reported to the national toll-free line 147 of the military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), the operation began; thus, thanks to the pressure exerted, the criminals left the citizens abandoned, facilitating the rescue safe and sound.

Those released were received by specialized medical personnel to verify their health status, and, subsequently, the reunion with the families was managed.
