The individuals are charged with the crime of trafficking, manufacturing, carrying or possessing firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition.
In compliance with the objectives established in the Ayacucho Plus Campaign Plan, troops of the Rainforest Battalion N.° 57, a unit attached to the Eleventh Brigade of Colombian National Army, in coordination with the National Police, reported the arrests, of two alleged members of the organized armed group, GAO, Clan del Golfo, known as alias Crocodile and alias German or Cocoliso.
The military and police operation was reported in the village of Los Aguacates, in the municipality of El Bagre, department of Antioquia, thanks to the arduous intelligence operation of the members of the Military Forces.
These individuals, who allegedly fulfilled the role of hitmen in the Uldar Cardona Rueda Substructure, were carrying two 38 mm revolver-type firearms, 25 cartridges for the weapons and a cell phone.
According to the information that is being handled in the investigations, those arrested would be in charge of coordinating and materializing acts of murder in the municipality in question and its surroundings. In the same way, they would be planning to harm the Military Forces personnel ordered by this criminal organization.
Both men and the material found were put into custody of the authorities for the processes that will define their judicial situation.
