The Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army is constant in its military operation against this armed group that commits crimes in the Northern subregion of the department.
Within the framework of military operations aimed at protecting the inhabitants and contributing to security in Antioquia, troops of the Infantry Battalion No. 10, of the Fourth Brigade of Colombian National Army, engaged combat against alleged members of the Luis Hernando Rozo Bertel Substructure, belonging to the organized armed group GAO Clan del Golfo.
The facts too place in the sector known as La Galleta, La Llanada village, municipality of San José de la Montaña, Antioquia. As a result, two alleged members of this armed group, known by the aliases Esteban and Galleto, were arrested. During the military operation it was in the same way possible to find an AR-15 rifle, a pistol, magazines, ammunition of different calibers, a hand grenade, 7 cell phones, 2 notebooks that would include extortion lists, and $4,910,000, COP apparently the product of collecting money from extortions made against the inhabitants.
Through these arrests, the criminal intentions of this substructure are neutralized, intentions that were damaging the tranquility and economic heritage of the inhabitants of the region by collecting money from systematic extortion.
