In operations carried out in an interinstitutional manner by troops of the National Army and the Attorney General's Office, in the department of Casanare, in recent hours it was possible the arrest by court order two alleged members of the terrorist support networks of the residual organized armed group (GAO-r) Structure 10, Martín Villa.
The operation was carried out in the city of Yopal, where troops of the Casanare Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group), the CTI (Technical Investigations Corps) and the Fifth Specialized Prosecutor's Office, made effective the arrest warrants against alias Andrés and Alias Zea, for the crimes of aggravated extortion and association to commit aggravated crimes.
According to intelligence and investigative work, carried out for more than four months by the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) and the Prosecutor's Office, these individuals would be demanding money of their victims in the name of alias Ferley González, head of finance of the aforementioned illegal group. The required payments were 20 million pesos, in exchange for not attacking his life, that of his family and his assets.
