Units of the Colombian Navy in development of a joint operation with the National Army and coordinated with the National Police, arrested two individuals in flagrante delicto, for the crime of trafficking in substances for the production of narcotics, in the municipality of Puerto Leguizamo - Putumayo.

Thanks to intelligence information, troops of the Navy Infantry River Battalion No.30 and the Ground Operations Battalion No. 49, arrested two individuals, while they were sailing on the Putumayo River aboard a rudimentary boat, transporting 700 gallons of fuel and 217 kilograms of solid precursors, which apparently, would be used as essential sources for the production of coca paste base. The elements were put into custody of the authorities for the crime of trafficking substances for the production of narcotics.

The material found would belong to the Residual Organized Armed Group, GAO-r, structure 48, which commits crimes in the region; it is presumed that it was destined for the departments of Caquetá and Putumayo.
