Through this result of the military operation, the armed subsystem is hit, as well as the logistical resources of the FARC dissidents in the north of Antioquia, especially in the municipalities of San Andrés de Cuerquia and Toledo. In the same way, their expansion plans are hit, taking into account that this armed group would be in charge of the reactivation of the so-called Fifth Front, under the criminal direction of alias Primo Gay.
According to military intelligence, this structure would have arrived in San Andrés de Cuerquia from the municipality of Briceño and would be responsible for occupying the area of criminal interference left by the alias 09 group, which was eliminated after military operations carried out in September 2025 by troops of Colombian National Army, as well as carrying out criminal intelligence activities and planning terrorist acts against military units and the critical construction of the region.
In this way, Colombian National Army reaffirms its commitment to the security of the territory, and the dismantling, for the second time, of this group. The troops will continue to carry out military operations that will neutralize the resources of this organized armed group that has hit the tranquility of the communities.
