Two elderly people hit by landslide in Caldas were taken by the Air Force

Dos adultos mayores afectados por derrumbe en Caldas fueron trasladados por su Fuerza Aérea

Two elderly adults trapped by a landslide in the village of La Tulia in the municipality of Samaná, Caldas, were immediately evacuated to a hospital in La Dorada, Caldas, thanks to a humanitarian mission carried out by the Colombian Aerospace Force in coordination with the National Personnel Center - CNRP and the National Police.

During the mission, the team of military doctors on board a HUEY-II helicopter of the Air Combat Command No.1, managed to stabilize the patients during the flight, ensuring their condition to be handed over to the hospital de La Dorada, Caldas.

On the other hand, members of the National Police on the ground, secured the area and facilitated the landing of the helicopter, lifting the patients, for a safe transfer to specialized medical assistance.

This work highlights the commitment of the Colombian Aerospace Force, at the moment of safeguarding the life and good living condition of the communities, especially in areas of difficult access, we will continue to deploy all resources in humanitarian emergencies, working for the well-being of citizens throughout the national territory.
