* One of these facilities was established in a house to prevent detection by the troops; through these military actions it was possible to confiscate 1,310 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride.
The military operations carried out by the Command Against Drug Trafficking and Transnational Threats (CONAT), in coordination with the Colombian Aerospace Force and the National Police, led to the finding in the departments of Cauca and Nariño two coca-growing complexes with a monthly production capacity of two tons of drugs.
These military acts began in the village of Granada del Tambo, department of Cauca; there the troops found a laboratory for production illicit substances, distributed in 11 structures, which would be part of the finances of the residual organized armed group GAO-r, Carlos Patiño structure.
900 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride were found by troops; as well as 3,851 gallons of liquid supplies; 1,616 kilograms of solid substances and 1,616 gallons of fuel.
Meanwhile, in the Millam village of Mallama, department of Nariño, another complex for the production of cocaine, consisting of 6 structures, was found through a judicial search warrant for houses, which was hidden inside a house. 410 kilograms of cocaine and 615 gallons of suspended coca paste were seized at the site.
Intelligence work confirmed that organized armed groups use houses as facades to hide coca-growing complexes, seeking to make it difficult for the Military Forces to find and eliminate them.
Through these results, the Colombian National Army prevents the circulation in the United States of 1,310,000 doses of narcotics. In addition, the illicit activities of criminal groups were damaged by 11,165 million pesos.
