In the framework of the Plan del Bicentenario Héroes de la Libertad (Bicentenary Operations Plan Heroes of Freedom), troops of the eighteenth Brigade, unit of the Task Force Quiron, captured two alleged members of the Residual Organized Armed Group (GAO-R) “E-10”, in rural area of the municipality of Arauquita, department of Arauca.
During the operation, a motorcycle, two 9mm cartridges, campaign equipment and clothing for the exclusive use of the military forces, and other military accessories and propaganda alluding to FARC were seized.
Those captured and the material seized were put into custody of the authorities to continue to conduct the legal process.
The National Army will continue carrying out decisive operations in the Colombian Orinoquia, in order to counter the criminal and terrorist operations of organized armed groups.
