Troops of the Military Gaula Valle, together with the Attorney General's Office, reported the arrest in flagrante delicto of two individuals when they received 10 million pesos that would be the product of an extortion in Cali, Valle del Cauca.
Thanks to the timely denunciation of the victim and military intelligence work, the arrest of the two individuals took place, who claimed to belong to an alleged “money collection office” in order to get the money.
The criminal operations focused on demands through coercion and threats against the good healt conditions of the citizen and that of his children. These individuals, along with two others, even allegedly went to the victim's home, where they demanded the payment of 32 million pesos.
In the military operation carried out under the coordination of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 34 Gaula, three cell phones, a motorcycle and the money product of extortion were found by troops. These individuals and the material were put into custody of the authorities.
