In a strategic alliance conducted by the Air Combat Command No. 2, CACOM 2, of the Colombian Aerospace Force, CORMACARENA and the EAFIT University, joined through their technological resources, with the use of cameras and sensors, in order to detect climate change, conservation, deforestation, reconnaissance and surveillance of different areas of interest.
Through this important union, the aim is to strengthen the monitoring systems that detect irregularities in the environment and, in turn, security, since new cameras are going to be installed, additional to the sensors that some CACOM 2 aircraft currently have, which will send the information collected to CORMACARENA and vice versa.
The purpose is to unify the command and control centers of the two institutions to generate valuable information, in which the climatic and security conditions can be improved, according to the competence.
