Within the framework of the Unified operation of the State, the Colombian Navy carried out a Development Support Activity in the village of Juanchaco, municipality of Buenaventura - Valle del Cauca, in which 970 people benefited.
Thanks to the deployment of resources of the Naval Institution, 71 military and volunteers, in coordination with institutions such as the Logistics Agency of the Military Forces, Asopacífico, the Transforma Social Foundation, the Lejaim Foundation, the Valle del Cauca Governorate and the Professional Naval Reserve Officers attached to the Mission Support Command – COAMI del Pacífico, provided services in general medicine, psychology, optometry, dentistry, pharmacy, vaccination and pregnancy tests.
In the same way, humanitarian aid was distributed and donations of food supplement, toys, clothes, food baskets and grooming kits were made.
It should be noted that, during 2024, the Naval Institution, in coordination with public and private institutions, has benefited more than 800 thousand people in the 17 Development Support Activities carried out in the Colombian Pacific.
