In Villavicencio we joined the challenge of planting 500,000 trees in one minute

En Villavicencio nos unimos al reto de sembrar 500.000 árboles en un minuto

In commemoration of the International Day Against Climate Change, nationally and internationally, in Ecuador, Mexico, Bolivia and Argentina, about 500,000 trees were planted in one minute. Air Combat Command No. 2 of the Colombian Aerospace Force joined this challenge of the Colombia Siembra Vida program, in which it was possible to plant 1,000 plants at the facilities of the SENA (National Learning Service) headquarters El Hachón, at kilometer 12 of the road that leads from Villavicencio to Puerto López, Meta department.

The activity was attended by members of the Air Combat Command No. 2, Colombian National Army, the Rotary Club of Villavicencio, the SENA, Cormacarena, the municipal People's Representative for human rights and various private institutionns in the region, who made their contribution by planting Chestnut, Mahogany, Patevaca, Palocruz, Guamo, Yearbread, Nocuito, Cajeto, Acuapar, Yopo trees, among other specimens.

Simultaneously, trees were planted in different parts of the country to meet the goal, however, the epicenter was in Villavicencio. In the department of Meta, the municipalities of Puerto Rico, Puerto Lleras, Granada, San Martín de los Llanos, San Luis de Cubarral, Uribe, Mesetas, El Calvario and Cabuyaro in the same way joined this great challenge for the preservation of the environment.

By supporting activities like this, the Colombian Aerospace Force contributes to the goal of preserving the environment, generating practices such as planting trees that, in the long term, are useful to increase life and get a sustainable and resilient ecosystem.
