As part of a coordinated operation conducted by the Colombian Navy and the National Police, war materiel was seized in the Special District of Buenaventura.
Members of the Military Gaula (Anti-Extortion and Anti-Kidnapping Group) of the Colombian Navy and personnel of the Criminal Investigation Directorate - DIJIN - of the Police, arrived at the locality 12 of Buenaventura, where they found an illegal hideout of weapons, allegedly belonging to the faction Los Shottas of the Organized Gang La Local.
Inside the hiding place was found an AK 47 caliber 7.62 mm rifle, a revolver, two rifle magazines and 80 cartridges of different calibers, taking out of circulation the weapons used by the Gang to intimidate people and finance their criminal activity through extortion, theft and other crimes. The material found was put into custody of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office 9 of Buenaventura.
