We continue to save lives in Eastern Colombia!

¡Continuamos salvando vidas en el oriente colombiano!

The C208 Caravan ambulance aircraft of the Air Combat Command No. 2, CACOM 2, carried out two humanitarian air medical transfers in Meta department, in which the lives of a woman with a high-risk pregnancy, who needed to be assisted in Bogotá, and that of a child under 15 who had stomach symptoms, likely to be appendicitis, were saved.

In the case of the woman, the transfer was made from Villagarzón, Putumayo, to CACOM 2 in Villavicencio, Meta, where a King Air aircraft of the Military Air Transport Command was waiting to transport her to the capital city of the country, where she would receive the necessary medical assistance.

On the other hand, the 15-year-old who had severe abdominal pain with symptoms of appendicitis was transported from La Macarena, Meta, to Villavicencio, where an ambulance was waiting to be taken to a medical facility to be assisted according to his urgency.

At the end of the mission, both patients received of the crew a coin symbolizing the slogan A metal angel saved my life of the National Recovery Center, CENRP, which is responsible for coordinating these missions in which the Colombian Aerospace Force reaches the most remote villages of the country to bring hope and save the lives of those who need it most.
